International Recognition
The INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier Center is internationally recognized for their research on the influenza virus, herpes virus (herpes simplex virus (HSV)) and anti-doping control.
Recognized Expertise in Sports Doping Screening
The INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier Center has the only laboratory in Canada accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA): the doping control laboratory of Professor Christiane Ayotte. This laboratory recognized for its expertise assumed responsibility for the doping screenings of athletes participating in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
Effective Vaccines against the Flu
Year after year, our researchers identify different strains of the influenza virus in an attempt to better understand the interactions between the virus and its hosts. Their primary goal is to develop effective vaccines to protect the population.
Researchers at the forefront of the HSV
Our researchers are amongst the most internationally respected with regards to researching remedies against the herpes virus (herpes simplex virus (HSV)). This virus is particularly dangerous for people with immune deficiencies, such as patients infected with the AIDS virus and newborns whose immune systems have not yet matured.
