Mission
The Fondation Armand-Frappier is a non-profit organization which contributes vigorously to the advancement of medical research at the INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier, particularly the fight against infectious diseases. The Institut is part of INRS University which ranks first in Canada in terms of research intensity (funding per faculty member).

To contribute to the advancement of medical research, the Fondation Armand-Frappier organizes fund-raising events, solicits donations and receives bequests that permit it to:
With these initiatives, the Fondation Armand-Frappier encourages the recruitment and supports the training of the best candidates, at the professor level as well as students and postdoctoral interns, as well as supporting scientists in their pursuit of excellence.
In this way, the Foundation supports the continuation of the work of Dr. Armand Frappier, founder of the Institut de microbiologie et d'hygiène de Montréal (IMHM), which was created in 1938. The institute took on the name of its founder in 1975, after its affiliation to the Université du Québec in 1972.
